SAFETY & RESPONSIBILITY

Our Responsibility

  • Every trip begins with a pre-launch safety briefing covering paddling basics, river conditions, hazards, and trip expectations.
     
  • U.S. Coast Guard-approved PFDs are provided to all participants. Proper fit and use are demonstrated prior to launch.
     
  • All equipment is routinely cleaned, inspected, and maintained to ensure it is in safe, serviceable condition.
     
  • Participants receive clear route information, access points, and contact details prior to departure.

Your Responsibility

  • Be comfortable in and around water. 
  • Orient yourself and your group with proper operations as well as boat handling. 
  • View Canoe/Kayak Safety Training 
  • View Standup Paddleboard Safety Training
  • Follow all safety guidance provided during orientation
  • Paddler under 18 years old will wear PFD at all times
  • Use equipment responsibly
  • Sign a required waiver prior to participation
  • Leave no sign of your presence​
