Minimum Age Participants must be at least 6 years old to participate in kayak or canoe rentals. Every paddler under 18 years old will wear PFD at all times Youth Policy Children ages 6–13 must ride in the same watercraft with a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult approved by Bald Eagle Valley Kayak Company. Participants ages 14–17 may paddle solo only with signed parental or guardian consent and with a responsible adult participating within the group. All participants under age 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to participation. Bald Eagle Valley Kayak Company reserves the right to restrict participation based on water conditions, weather, participant experience, physical capability, or other safety considerations.

Yes. Most of our trips are relaxed downstream floats suitable for beginners and casual paddlers. Before launching, we provide a brief overview of the route and basic paddling tips.

We provide everything needed for a safe and enjoyable paddle, including a kayak, paddle, and a properly fitted personal flotation device (PFD). Each kayak also carries required safety equipment such as a whistle. We’ll provide a brief overview of the river and basic safety guidance before launching.

We recommend bringing water, sunscreen, a hat, and clothing that can get wet. Secure footwear such as water shoes or sandals is also helpful.

We monitor river levels and weather closely. If conditions are unsafe for paddling, we will contact you to reschedule or provide a refund.
